Icemelt Power
ICEMELT POWER is the best seller as it represents a balance between price and quality
The entire development of human civilization is characterized by the desire of people to communicate. Mobility is critical in the development of modern urban infrastructure. New roads and highways are being built, transport junctions are becoming more and more sophisticated, and work is underway to improve transport links. But no matter how people change the environment, there are still things beyond their control.

The natural conditions are stronger. And it happened that in our country, due to its size, natural conditions are presented in all their variety. Average temperatures in July, in different regions, range from 1 to 25 ° C, and in January they range from 6 to -50 ° C; we have precipitation ranging from 150 to 2000 mm per year. And in such conditions, road communications are significantly complicated and, sometimes, impossible, which definitely affects the development of infrastructure. Nevertheless, even in these conditions, people do not give up and go on with the improvement of the ways to overcome obstacles. The main problem of the winter period is ice, dealing with which requires time and money, and ice often causes serious loss. Therefore, the requirements to advanced deicing materials are high and, despite a huge amount of offers available on the market, not all of them meet these requirements.

Before we affirm that ICEMELT POWER deicing agent is one of the best products for dealing with ice, we want you to better see what it is. Its name comes from the English "ICE", "MELT", and "POWER". Let's find out what the strength of ICEMELT POWER is, how this material works, and what it consists of.

Its main active component is calcium chloride – CaCl2 – with added corrosion inhibitors. Calcium chloride is known to have many applications. But how do the properties of this substance help ICEMELT POWER to melt ice? It is very simple. When it interacts with water, the exothermic reaction heats ICEMELT POWER granules to 70 ° C, and the hygroscopic properties allow them to react already at a relative humidity of 46% and act at the lowest temperature. These seem to be the highest parameters among all known deicing materials. But how does it save money? It is well known that the most common deicing material – salt – is cheaper. This is true; salt that does not contain any additives is a cheap, but outdated method of dealing with ice. Its properties do not allow effective melting of ice at temperatures below -7 ° C, and the consumption rate per square meter is 5-6 times higher than that of ICEMELT POWER. Things change if you use the synergy of these substances in one granule.

And what if we additionally spread sand?
It will not enhance the efficiency but will definitely cause problems in spring. Sand clogs storm sewers, and, when it gets on the paint coating of cars, it scratches it, increasing the degree of corrosion. By the way, to solve this particular problem, ICEMELT POWER contains corrosion inhibitors; besides, it dissolves in water almost without residue: the mass fraction of insoluble residue is just 0.5%, which is negligible.

Ok, we see that it melts ice, but what is its "power"?
It power is that it deals with ice in the most severe frosts: the crystallization temperature of a 30% solution is -55 ° C. Just think about this figure: not every material can cope with such frosts.

There is the following text on the package: "Efficient down to -31°C». How can it be explained?
That means that its effect is instant down to -31°C! Just in 15 minutes you will see how ICEMELT POWER granules penetrate the ice layer and destroy its bond to the surface: the main enemy is defeated. This is the power of ICEMELT POWER. All you need to do is to remove the residues of ice from the battlefield.

But how safe is ICEMELT POWER for the surface which you are going to treat?
According to reports of ROSDORNII (Road Research and Development Institute of the Russian Federation), the material is harmless for concrete surfaces and is indicated for use on urban roads.
